I am not convinced the wrist pins are bad. How do they go bad overnight? It is almost like the computer had a glitch and caused some serious preignition/detonation. Filled up with bad fuel? How did they determine it was 5 and 6? Pull all rod caps and inspect. If they are good and they all "feel" the same, (wrist pin slack) then they are "feeling" an unknown at this point. Until they pull out an assembly and prove it, then it is still a guess. A $30K engine needs proof.
