Promising news that the U.S. DOE is subsidizing the smaller diesel applications. Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma look to have Cummins ISF power by 2016. This is a great move on all fronts. Fuel milage alone will be a feather in the cap of the Feds, along with the tax revenue generating power of the diesel fuel.

i myself cannot wait to add a Cummins powered Tacoma to the Torque Stable.


Anyone else out there excited about the new diesel opportunities?
 
That article is 3 years old, Nissan and Toyota appear to be going to use the Cummins 5.0 v/8 in the 1/2 tons. There is interest in the Cummins 2.8 for some compact pickups.
