2017 & Tailgate brake light bar

I am trying to install a tailgate brake light bar on my 2017 Ram 2500 and I cannot figure out how to remove the stock 4pin connector in the bumper. I want to put something like a 4pin Y in it to be able to wire up the light bar.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?

That uses the brake harness to get a 4 flat.

There are some notes on the Ram Body Builder Guide for issues related to adding or subtracting to the existing LED harnesses, you mighy want to read those sheets as well, same deal search Ram Body Builder Guide and enter your truck info.

If you physically need to see the bumper plug removal this might help. Not sure how much different the 1500 is from a 2500

I just installed this.. Comes with a 5 pin connector so you can have reverse on the connector..

I picked one of those up at a local RV shop last week. Works great.
