I Need to replace the radio in my 2018 one ton dually. I guess the screen has delaminated and goes crazy. Looking for best price source. TIA.

Are you sure there isn't a screen protector on it that degrades?
I've never in my life heard about a touchscreen that "delaminated".

I have a 2018 2500. Mine did the same thing after a couple of years. You can literally see how the glass is separating from each strata. Like plywood when it gets wet. Mine did it in all 4 corners and across the whole top.

The OEM head unit for music blows and puts out like 15 watts/channel. I couldn't see replacing it with the same radio for all that money to get the same performance. I ended up with an Alpine receiver and amp at 50 watts/channel. I used the canbus adapter to maintain all my vehicle functions plus steering wheel and OEM HVAC controls. That whole setup was about $1500 and looks stock. I did all the install myself.

Unbelievable, there is always something new to learn.
Delaminated screens, oh boy.

i believe what happens is the sun bakes the screen. so a $2 walmart towel over the radio keeps it like new. thats what ive done to keep my '17 screen in good shape. many many times ive told people this but none of them are smart enough to listen

Ideally, you shouldn't need to do this with a modern vehicle.

Reminds me of the sun baked dash scenarios.

what. it doesnt matter if you should have to or not. if a $2 towel will save your screen , why the hell wouldnt ya do it. but if you want to replace the screen every few years then so be it o_O
just sharing what i believe to have worked for me . 7yr my screen still good as new

Why? Because you shouldn’t have to, period. It’s that simple.

sun destroys everything. tires ,dash , moldings ,paint. why would the radio screen be any different. we'll be seeing you sooner or later. just a matter of time :D:D:D
