I’m getting ready to order a 2020 3500 Cummins mega cab dually. Or at least I think I am, I like the idea of the mega cab, having a family of 4 + a dog, and transitioning from a class a RV to a longer fifth wheel, we know we want room in cab for stretching out our legs on longer road trips. I’ve already come to terms with the added difficulties of having a short box with a fifth wheel and I can handle that just fine. Here’s my question, Is there anyone on here with first hand experience with this set up? And if so, can you fit a truck bed tool box between the fifth wheel and the front of the bed. Having the extra room in the cab behind the seats will be great for groceries and such, but only if I have a tool box to store all the tools and travel necessities In the bed box. If I can’t find the bed box with the fifth wheel then I probably need to go with the Crew Cab and a long bed, but I think I’ll be unhappy with the length when not towing... the daily life I think it would get pretty annoying. Anyways, I think I know what I’m going to do, just wanted to hear some first hand experience before I make a final decision.
