I think you are right about the catching fire part but I think it has something to do with the ABS system.

Recalls are nothing new but I wonder how many of these brand new vehicles are being impacted by the supply chain disruptions causing manufacturers to use whatever they can get their hands on to keep the assembly lines rolling.

The problem now is when u start seeing supply constriction, it is not unusual to see factories go thru their MRB stuff and start passing marginal parts...

I just got this recall notice on Sunday 10/24 via the Ram/Mopar app on my phone, so I called it in and scheduled to repair this week Friday at stealership.

2022-2022 HD RAM Grid Heater Relay
FCA #Y76 with NHTSA #21V-798 on October 14th, 2021. My 2021 was build in March-21? I believe.

If anything special comes up, I'll let you all know. Don K.

FYI, update. Dealer books 3 hours for this Y76 repair. No parts, No Reflash. Noticed truck sitting with tail end out door and idling most of the two hours for repair. Tech told me it was a 9 step procedure of various loads and temperature checks on the relay. Having to let it cool down between test I assume as to why the plan for 3 hours. For example, manually or with their tech tool, activated the heater grid for 2 minutes, then temperature readings of solenoid. I think they keep it running as not to overheat the grid with air flow on it. My 2021 Ram passed inspection, no parts, Warranty completed in 2 hours, 5 minutes.

Safe to park it back inside again.... Actually I never parked it outside as I had not gotten that notice before the recall e-mail on Sunday.

Please let me know if anyone else has this same experience or are you getting parts replaced?

Had my Y76 recall done today. "Inspection completed, no issues found, recall complete".

He did mess up my gauge display and now I can't find it:(
