I just bought a 24 valve Magnaflow exhaust system cheap and still in the box and being the frugal kind of guy that i am i was wondering about the downpipe. Does the 24 valve downpipe have the same diameter at the turbo turn down elbow as the 12 valve. I can change it if its a problem. Kim

It will bolt up to the turbo fine. But where you run into the difference in exhaust systems though is at the back of the truck, Dodge went to a new style tailpipe for '98 and the exhaust hangers are different. But that shouldn't be much of an issue, if there isn't hangers where you need them the cost should be minimal if you take it to a muffler shop and have them weld a couple on.

I put the 24 valve exhaust system on my truck and the problem was the rear hanger as the previous poster stated. Went to the auto wrecker and pulled the rear hanger mount from an 01 2500 gas pot and all i had to do was drill 2 holes in the frame. Mount was free and took about 30 minutes to do. Truck is quiet and i love it. 300 bucks for a complete new magnaflow stainless system. Took less time to install than to remove the rusty old crap. K. L. S.
