Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 24v Breather

I thinking about putting the 24v breather on the timing cover and removing the oil fill tube to help my 12v breathe better? What does any body think of this idea? I'm going to put a valve cover on the #1 cylinder with a filler cap got from cummins today. Does any body have a serial# to a 24v engine so I can look up a breater for a 24v?

Part # for the oil filler breather is 3944797. It retains the original filler so you don't need a new filler on the valve cover.
