I have a 95 stnd cab, 12v 4x4 auto and I'm thinking of buying a 2000 quad cab 4x4 auto, 3. 54.
My question(s) are:
Do all (stock) 24v have a hesitation till boost build up before they start to "move out"? I've driven a few and they all seem to do this compared to the 12v motors. Does a box cure this like turning out the star wheel does on the 12v's?
Are 2000's 235HP or 215HP?
Am I going to be replacing boost pumps at every fuel filter change? This truck appears to have been stock, does that matter for boost pump longevity.
Needless to say I really like my 12v but am some what, for lack of better terms, forced to go to a 24v for the quad cab.
Any former 12v drivers out there glad they made the switch?
Thank you for any feed back.
