the search is not being nice to me , so i'm going to ask .

who has used the 275's in an HO , '00 or '01 ?

obviously there are other choices , but i have these injectors and a friend interested in them .

do they produce a mileage increase as they did in my '00 215hp engine ?

thanks ...

John from what I have read the HO will pick up about 40 hp. I have not heard anyone mention increased mileage from the HO's with the 275 injectors.

ho and 275's

I saw a 1-2 mpg increase on my 2001 ho 6 speed.

I got 45 more hp and like 95 lbs torque as well (dyno proven)

these were long highway drives.

I have the 275's 4" exhaust turbo back and a K&N I dyno'd yesterday at 261 horse and 661 torque. I turned the TST 3 box on max and got 319 horse and 822 torque. :D :D :D I am very happy with it. Had to get a southbend OFE to back it up though.

I have personally installed over 20 sets of 275 hp injectors in HO trucks. I have had no complaints from anyone and almost all have reported a fuel milage increase. I highly recomend these injectors for HO trucks and Autos, they make a nice power increase and don't smoke hardly at all. I have also put them in 5 spd trucks but couldn't tell much of a power increase compared to the autos and HOs. Hope this helps. :)

I have the 275's and an EZ, and if it weren't for the slipping clutch, it would be great  . Had the EZ first, then added the 275's. The injectors really gave it some pep, and smoothed out the bottom end. And ditto on the mileage- about 1. 5mpg increase.

I also had done the edge box , got a milage increase. Then did the injectors and got another increase. That is according to my onboard computer. Doing the math though i am getting about 17 miles per gallon. The on board computer showed from 14. 9 to 19. 1 on highway.

Also loads of new clutch slipping power.

Enjoy your new features but when you get used to it you'll want more.

jim , you can throw the trip computer out the window , mines off by about 8mpg now .

this question is geared towards a friends truck that is interested in my used 275's , i got loads more power on tap already , i got bit real hard by the bug ...

John,
I had scott's used 275s HO for over a year and was very happy with them. My best mileage ever was with the 275/ez combo. On one occasion I averaged 22. 5 mpg over a 1200 mile round trip from montana to utah and back. keep in mind my truck is anything but set up for economy. The performance of the injectors was also excellent. I will say i like the seat of the pants feel of the dd2's better but the 275s improve the low end and are a good over all power improvement. i dynoed on winter fuel at 305 rwhp with that combo. The dyno was in mass/ri so that is a real world sea level number. i never really ran the injectors without the EZ except on the way to and from the dealer but with out a boost module you still see the low end improvement but loose all the high end. i would definitly say the 275 is a great match for the ETH.

Ted

Forgot to mention I did not have any problems (or at least major ones) with the clutch with this combo. i changed the clutch before moveing to the dd2 comp set up I am running now.

I saw a solid 1-2mpg increase with 275's. I also have a Comp box in EZ mode (no wire tap) and it hurts the mileage so I mainly leave it off now and just run on the 275's, nice smooth power.

275s

I have had 275s and a EZ on my 2001 ETH for about 50,000 miles and it has worked great. The 275 alone gave it some kick but when I added the EZ things got much better. Milage went up some, EGTs went down some and useable power for towing went way up. Oo.

using 275's only on 99

how does everyone feel about using 275's on a 99 3500 w/ 4:10 with no box or other mod. ?And where to get a set? THanks

Mopar muscle- About the trip computer, You are very right about it being off a few gallons.

just do the math to get a good idea of what you are really getting.

dsvarczkopf- the 275 injectors are a good start. They will add a solid 30 rwhp or so and are greatly enhanced with the edge ez box. edge ez is a plug in module with a boost fooling elbow you mount on your waste gate. It has a small pinhole in it to keep your waste gate from defueling when you get to about 20#'s of boost to give you a full range of acceleration. Also the box enhances the fuel module to accept the bigger injectors and get the most out of them and not smoke to badly.

If you don't know of any retailers in your area that sell them you can get them from one of the dealers on the sites,Like bullydog.com or diesel dynamics. check the link page and ask questions you will get answers.

good luck I hope this helps.

I have never seen over 19 MPG with my ETH.

Bone stock except for a PS boost module and 275's I had 233 RWHP @~2700 RPM

adding the Power Puck moved me to 302 RWHP@~2500 RPM

Currently running DD3's, the Puck, and a PDR40. To date the only BOMB I have put on that seems to give better Highway MPG is the PDR40.

I do a lot of commuting, 110 miles every day over the same road, and keep detailed notes like average speed and max sustained speed on each tank. On my HO, the 275's seem to have added about 0. 5 mpg, if you calculate averages over several thousand miles of "similar" driving instead of looking at "best" tanks. Bottom line, I'm looking for mpg, long life, and prefer not to smoke, so I'm very happy with 275's.

DieselFreak, do you think the PDR40 turbo would improve mpg in a less bombed, lightly loaded truck? Wild guess as to how much? I realize this probably isn't a bomb that would pay for itself, but if I ever puke a turbo, it might make more sense than replacing with stock...

if you are at less than 350 HP, then I would suggest a PDR Superturbo over the PDR40.

Shouldn't ask this question but I will :) Aren't 275's not detectable from a engine warranty standpoint. ;) What I mean is they would have to pull the injector to know it was bombed. The 275 bomb would not show up on any computer on the CTD, like an EZ might. I guess what I am trying to say is I thought the 275's would be the only bomb you could add and still keep your warranty because it would be almost impossible for the dealer to detect. Tell me if I'm wrong. I already know I'm morally corrupt :p for saying this.

I've heard that DC can't see the addition with their computer but Cummins can. As long as you don't have to deal with Cummins, you should be alright.
