yes some thing is wrong with my truck set up. I would have bee happy with your numbers. still waiting for edge to send my unit back, don't want to drive truck til I get it back cause I have no guages now and by the time I gathered up old guages and put them in was thinking my unit would be at door but it has taken longer then expected / hoped allready!

Grizly

I got 304/590 with Jammer DD2s and an EZ on my 01, with B20 in the tank and a ScottyII intake. I would think with #2, the J/A and the con FE you would be able to do a little better than that.

still waiting for edge to send unit back! Thanks to all who have input on this . gonna pay another 50 dollors and dyno again after I get all back together hope for the best was getting ready to upgrade turbo but may have to figure out whats holding me back on hp first.

Update: I asked edge to send back to me over night frieght adn they sent ground! I stated I would pay what ever it took to get here fast. they gave tracking number and damn if it don't say will be here on the 6th thats 4 days away! I have now just ordered Quadzilla Adrenaline will be here tomorrow free shipped. I soon will have edge juice w/ attitude for sale if any one intrested!!!!

congrats! you wont be disappointed!;) Now you have a whole OTHER thread to read!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, BUT..... I have to know what ever became of this problem. Grizly, did you ever figure out the problem with the low dyno numbers? Have you been back to the dyno with the reflashed Edge?
Adam

well I got the Quadzilla w/pulse it has bugs in it by the way so that pup sent back to them and yes put edge back in truck after reflashing was done edge is very reliable system would buy again . the flash helped feels more stable then before and don't get the surge under heavy loads even at 30 boost like befor would get at 23 boost have not done Dyno yet cause gonna get new turbo and the local shop charges 50 for hr of dyno time starting first run so when I left last time only was on for 25 min or so I thought I'll go and run test again then change out turbo and run again still withen the hr but may be to hot to change turbo so we will see . thanks for asking though my biggest problem is too bz to get things done right now no time for play all work.

As soon as I got the fuel issues resolved I started experiencing clutch problems, truck has been down for 4 or 5 months. (like you said, too bz. And I have the duallie for towing) Just got my new clutch and transmission shipped in Monday, will install Friday night and hopefully get to the dyno in a few days, I'll let you know how my numbers come out. I am thinking about sending my Edge in for a flash, I have a slight miss at WOT, regardless of setting, except for 0. The Edge people have been very helpful with any and all issues, I just hope they send mine back overnight. :-laf

Forget the dynos :-laf get on the dragstrip and see how it runs. The mph will give you pretty close hp #s with a lil math and is a lot more fun than a dyno from China

What size/type tires do you have on the truck? Tall, wide, aggressive tires will eat up some of your dyno numbers.

Just a note for folks considering tire size as a possible fudge factor. Folks from my neck of the woods attend dyno events (2/year), Spring Fling and Fall Brawl, the topic of tire size reducing hp/tq numbers was discussed rather vigorously to the point where a bet was made - tire size does / doesn't reduce hp/tq. Andy (a. k. a. TDR Member "Hammer") proved, and won the bet, that tire size "only changes when the hp/tq comes in" the numbers stayed the same - just came in at different rpms.

Not to try and be a "know it all" because that I ain't, just sharing what I've learned through others.

My truck has the six speed and would not post good numbers unless I was in sixth gear. My truck made maximum power in sixth gear at 95 MPH with the dyno resistance set at 10%. I used a Mustang Dyno equipped with PowerDyne control and data acquisition tools.

This setup measured boost, rpms, speed, and other information as well. You have to use a dyno that makes resistance to properly spool your turbo and get decent numbers. I have added a CFM Plus manifold and Spearco intercooler since my last dyno run and am hoping for 500 HP on my next dyno run.

Grizly do you know what your EGT's were when you did your dyno pull?

Your Edge Juice w/ Attitude may have been going into de-fuel mode due to an EGT limit.

I run the Comp box, it does not have the safety in it.

Im not sure if there is a way to shut off the limits or not but you could pull out the EGT probe and plug the hole and see if it makes a difference or not.

I went to a dyno event in Va. last year on a dynojet and I put out 566/1120.

There was another truck with the same setup but he had the Edge juice w/Attitude and he only put out 495hp. He had the de-fueling problem because of high EGT's.

Hope this can help some.

I disagree with some statements made here, rather than debate, I'll try to educate.

Know that:

1. Measuring the HP/Tq at 1:1 gearing is generally accepted practice.

2. The tire is the last gear in the power train and only changes where the curve is.

3. Bigger tires often give you more mass to move.
