2nd Gen (98-02) Smarty features wants/wishes

Like it says in the title, I have heard from a few people that Marco will be getting back to working on the 2nd gen smarty after he works out the ones for the 06 and up. I thought that we should start a list of things that we would like to add or try on our smarty to make it easier for Marco when he gets the time.



1. I would love to see a competition program like a sw 10 (no timing) and a sw 11 (with timing).



2. For those (01-02) with ecm controlled cruise, be able to set the idle like the third gen guys using the controls on the wheel.



Throw any other wants and wishes that you can think of in. The more demand and support we have for these features the better the chance we have if they can be done (technologically allowable of course).

2. It would be great to get control of high idle/3cyl. on command.

3. I would like to be emailed first by Marco when the competition program is ready to download & be the guinea pig... LOL

I do not have one, yet, but want one, and these features.



1. ) Control of the 3cly idle in the programmer, to adjust the parameters in which it is activated.

2. ) High Idle control with cruise buttons (is this even possible with a 2000 model? if not what parts do I need to upgrade to even make this possible)

3. ) If not already on it, programming menus for Key Fobs and other options that are only accessiable at the dealer.

There is not a competition program as of yet that I am aware of... . we are trying to get one created from Marco.

It would be nice to have a program for a cool down timer feature. Of course this is only a wish list & I don't know if that would even be possible. It's really hard to think of things to make it any better than it already is.

I'd like to be able to activate the high idle on command. With a 99, I probably can't use the cruise control idea but perhaps there is another way to tell the ecm to idle up. My need is to keep the truck warm when doing traffic control at fire scenes.

Yes the hi-idle and 3 cyl idle do work nicely but I'd love to see them kicked in sooner when I desire it... .

Like I said... . only a wish... . I don't know how it would work either, but if I was able to download a competition program..... that would be more than enough for me. I think that the comp program is top of the wish list. Guys are saying that they are losing hp on the dyno when smarty is added to edge,tst. This is also keeping guys from buying smarty too, but if it were to just bring numbers up a bit..... I'd be really happy.

No not another cookie... . to get a program that fuels even harder, sooner in the rpm band, with a broader torque cure would be great for lighting turbos off the line, especially for us manual guys since we ( I ) can't really power brake all that well. . I am sure that would also help out guys that sled pull and drag race as well... hence a COMPETITION program. I love my smarty as much as the next guy, my only two things that I would change are listed above. That is why this is a want/wish list. Maybe we could get Bob Wagner or Marco to chime in... ... .

To me, the Smarty is already an incredible product. The only thing I would like to see is the high idle to be enabled when I want it.

I also would like the high idle enabled when I want it. Other than that I think the smarty is at it's max with the VP. That's why we have the great wire tap for that extra hp.
