Today is my last working day as I enter retirement again. I initially retired last June and we spent the summer cruising on our boat. In early October I started a 6 month contract engineering gig. Now that the weather is warming up here in New England and the coffers are refilled it's time to start getting the boat ready for another summer on the water.
I was told to call back again in the fall so hopefully they'll need my services again for the winter. It's been kind of fun working short term and not have to worry about politics, raises, promotions, all that crappy career stuff we all hate. Especially since I worked for these folks in the past (for 28 years) and many have been friends for a long time.
But it will be more fun being free again for the summer.
Cheers!
