Installed new brake pads on the front of the truck. Passenger side bearing felt smooth and I removed the ABS sensor and put in some Gear Oil. The drivers side felt a little rough no end play or side to side up and down I put gear lube in it also and gave a few spins and roughness went away.

Was looking at bearing and hub assemblies Timken/SKF/Moog/ whats your take as to what one. And they dont seem to look like that big of a deal to replace. Any advice?

BN,

In my experience installing any unitized wheel bearing other than the Timken brand is a waste of time and money.

High speed running will toast the lesser brands, in cars or pick-ups.

Speed Limits are 75mph on the big road from here north and that is where my cruise is set every day no matter which vehicle I happen to be driving.

Tried the other brands which were warranted but I still had to change them again on my time.

Brand "X" may be cheaper at first but not if you have to go back and do it again as a result of a failure.

Just my opinion and experiences, others may have had better luck than I.

Mike. :)

Thanks Mike Forget that PM I just sent you gave the answer that I needed. 75!!!!! If you ever come out here you better kick it up a bit more or you'll get ran over. I thought that CA was fast until we moved here. Thanks again Mike
