O. K. so go on vaccation and towing my jeep and flatbed @ around 6,000# to Moab Ut. and the truck runs like a champ! At 140,000 on the original trans, motor and rear it just amazes me. But I have to admit in Vernal Ut. near the dinosaur bone quarry the water pump took a crap. Bearing went out lost the belt and all the coolant. Called NAPA (I know but it died right in front of a Caterpiller dealer they did not stock cummins stuff otherwise I would have put a new cummins pump in) bought a brand new pump for $59 and more coolant and a new belt they delivered it to the parking lot where the truck died and about 30 minutes later I was hauling butt down the road agian. Did I mention that I went through Berthou Pass at 11,700 ft on highway 40 by winter park and out pulled everything in sight(after traveling that far that is the steepest hill encountered). Did I also mention the Duraturd that I passed like he was stopped was towing a small fiver and could not overcome the 60mph head wind that I was doing 75 against? Did I mention that I love my truck?
