Installation location ?'s answered, however, what about wiring? All three guages need power for lights, you guys running one hot and one ground and splicing all three behind the A-Pillar? What about the power source for the pyro guage? Searching the archives I found lots on where to mount sending units for guages, not much on the actual wiring itself. BTW, I will be mounting Autometer Ultra Lites, Pyro, boost, and transmission. Thanks in advance.

When we did mine we wired all three together for ground and 12v dimming source. We used the headlight wiring for the dimming and ignition source. Then we wired the ones that needed individual power to a 12volt ingition hot source. I never could fine good posts on wiring the gauges either. If Autometer did not provide good instructions try TST Products. They have good instructions.

Hope this helps

For a 12v source, not for the lights, I bought one of those add a circuit jobs from Autozone, and ran it off the power window fuse I believe. I did the same as Dawna for the diming, light, feature of the gauges. I have the Autometer Z series so I would think it will be similiar wiring for you.

Medic when I did mine I used the #5 fuse in the panel for the lights to dim them. I had a painless wire fuse block for power.

I wired all the guages together both hot and ground behind the mount then ran one wire to a suitable ground the other I wired to the brown wire on the rear of the head light switch for power. Now all my guages turn on and dim with the dash lights. As far as my pyro all I needed was a power wire for the guage light. I have the triple pillar with my fuel pressure guage in a bullet mount attatched to it, so actaully I have a quad mount.
