background: had an early smarty (flashed in ecm-defalt #9) went bad. reflashed with stock dodge program. Bought a smarty hand held programer with revo. Would not load - error 14. Bought another ecm - would not work until the correct vin installed, which I did not get around to it . My VP44 went bad and replaced it with blue chip special X (added timming).
questions:
I thought smarty was not loading until I went to clear my codes and hit by mistake and hit load "stock" program. Still got error 14. When I drove the truck over the next week got LESS than my normal smoke output? I thought the smoke was just from the rv275's.
Then I loaded #7 - still got error 14, but I got more smoke and earler boost.
What smarty programs (revo settings) do you guys like with RV275 and a 4" exhaust?
Timming? how much is too much? The BC X vp44 has some built in and smarty add more (I don't think it is setable). It seems OK with this combo. I don't want to hurt anything.
My smoke is only after an up shift and clears up quickly. Can control it with the right foot. More smoke with thuck loaded. Can't get egt's above 900.
