3 Stuck Sticks and Smoke

I saw a friends truck today smoking very heavy at idle. He told me after the dealer's testing he had 3 injectors stuck open,but not cracked. Dose this sound right? I believe the truck is an 04 with 100,000+ miles,runs good and clears up going down the road.

Anyone have any ideas?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but isn't having an injector stick open a good way to burn a hole through your piston.

Might want to spend the $ now while it's still cheap to do so. Otherwise it's $8k-$10k for an engine. From what I heard last, engines are hard to get due to a major shortage.
