I just called Blue Chip. they sell a box "about the size of a pack of cigarettes" that will enhance the power on your ISB by adding more fuel.

Dyno numbers they gave me:

@2000 rpm Stock With Box

HP 142 237

TQ 375 612

Now this device only works above 1/2 throttle. There is a little LED that tells you its in "fuel enrichment mode" To install it you need to cut a wire and splice in this box. She said all you need is a pair of pliers and know how to use wire connectors. There will be more information on there web site after this weekend Co$t: $ 795. 00 http://www.bluechipdiesel.com

As a matter of fact, because I live close by, I drove up to see Chip of Blue Chip last night. I got a first hand look at his electronic marvel, as well as a ride in his new '99 dually. In a word, it's awesome.

With one push of a button, his truck absolutely came alive. It's amazing what he's been able to do with electronics and wires, that used to take all kinds of parts (torque plate, turbo housings, exhaust systems ) to do on the old 12 valve engines.

There were a few other folks there to see it, and every one who drove the truck said things like, "This is a totally different truck! This box makes it fun to drive"!

Hp/torque is around 250/660.

Other nice features are that the box has a little indicator on it - and if you drive mild, it stays off, so it doesn't affect your mileage. And if you don't believe its doing something, just turn it off, mash the pedal, and then turn it on while you're accelerating - it's like getting smacked in the butt.

Installation looks simple too - just hook a few wires on to the wiring harness and it's done. This thing will absolutely make the 12 valve folks jealous, finally. -Jim Smith

The old 3-wire Blue Box ROCKS . . . even though it came out almost 5 years ago I'd still pick it over the EZ or vA any day (if I still had my '01 HO).

But the difference is, the bb pierces the pump wire whereas the ez and va do not :)

I guess what I am trying to get at is changing to an Edge Drag Comp. But if the BB fuels all the way to 3200 RPMs whats the point??? They both put about the same power figures out right?? I guess I am going to have to call Chip Fisher...

if calling Chip, ask that question

if you need me to scan the instructions just e-mail me. . -- email address removed --

ok I'm wrong...

just to be sure we are talking the same thing... the pump wire you refer to is the short wire out of the Injection pump. . not the map wires

Correct, the pump wire that is the closest to the head. The other wire is the ground, and the other wire goes to the fuse panel to get power (the engine one)

My Blue Box ROCKS.

It is an old three wire unit. It was originally purchaced from BD, and was marketed as their H. O. Box. Inside the cover is written the code "OT6".

Mine is set on 70% (no jumper on J5 and J6 pump killer mode). I have it set on the second most aggressive fuel delivery delay. (jumper on J3)

Piggybacked with an EZ, it adds 60 HP peak to peak, but at 2900 it is good for over 100 HP. Total HP with DD3's was 427 HP

Now with the Mach 4's it makes 474 HP.
