A show of hands?

Okay guys,

We got questions. Could we see a show of hands?

1)Who's going for sure?

2)Who's camping?

3)And who's interested in a cookout?

Joe and I are going to try to meet up early Saturday morning, then head up and meet Scott at a rest area on 495 (if this all comes together) if anyone wants to caravan with us. Meeting Joe around 5:30, meeting Scott around 8:00.

Joe are you racing? You need to be there pretty early to register if you are...

Matt ( the elder),

I am going. I am not camping. I am planning on racing unless I chicken out when I get there:D ! Anyhow, when and where is the meeting spot to caravan out of Mass. ? I think that the caravan is half the fun! As far as the cookout goes, I make the following suggestion: We eat the bogus carnival food and take our chances. This way no one feels responsible for lugging the cookout food around with them. Just a suggestion. Of course if the rest of the group should decide on a cookout, that's cool, too.

Scott sez there's a rest area on 495 about 40 minutes north of the Pike called 'Westford' Meeting there is between 7:45 and 8:15.

Okay, we have to set the meet times earlier by an hour if caravaners want to make it in time for drag registration. We will meet at the Westford rest area at 7:00AM.

I talked to Joe and we won't actually be stopping, but will try to reach the intersection of I84 and I91 at 5:00AM, hooking up by radio and cell phone.

If you're joining us then and there, monitor 19 or call my cell. PM me if you need my number.

Matt

Matt,

I will be at the Westford rest area at 7:00 am. Look forward to seeing you and the others there as well.

Still on the fence. Trying to pack and get stuff ready for the trip.

Good news is that my new (used) PDRhx35 showed up today! If I head up I know you'll give me a hand mounting this badboy!

Nicole is planning on coming if we go but I don't know if I can make the convoy because she's coming off a third shift. She gets out at 7:00 AM

mactruck, what can yours and nicole's truck do... . around 110mph? that'll get you up in 1 1/2 hours or so... ;)

Okay, so you have an appointment you need to make at 7:00AM. Normally it takes 1:30 min to get there, so you leave at 6:00 and maintain 65mph for the first hour. Then you decide you need to pick up the pace, so how fast do you have to go to make your appointment? :D

Hey wheaties, your missing one piece of information for the equation to be solveable... ... ... ..... what is the total distance you will travel? :{ Oo. :D

Hey Batman,

You would think you need that piece of information, but you really need to think outside the box on this one

oh ok, my bad. *common sense tom, common sense!*

I could give you a total distance, but it wouldn't help solve the problem. I think it's a pretty fair assumption that if you think you need to pick up the pace, you aren't there yet, so you have some more to go... ..... trip normally taken in 1hr 30min... . say ninety miles if you think it will help you... . :D

Sorry you can't be with us in Maine... are we ever going to see Batman again?

The GF and I had an absolute blast all day long... .

The drivetrain carnage was cool... .

The sand drags were very cool... .

Watching "Pig Pen" blow away big-block Chevies was cool... .

The traditional New England Clambake was out of this world - Lobstah, Clams (Steamahs... ), burgers, salads..... and lots of other goodies.

HUGE thanks goes out to Tim, Matt (and Carol), and of course the very generous Joe for all the seafood.

I gotta get a mini-tractor puller together... . they look like a blast to run!!

We can't wait for the next one... . you guys/gals rock!!

Matt - the younger

Well a BIG thanks to Tim and Chip for the excellent high speed tow home. We made just as good if not better time on the way home pulling my truck.

The truck is torn apart. It was a nice clean break of the output shaft. I am going to try to get down to see Scott this evening or tommorrow such that he can reassemble my over drive unit.

I can't wait for the next time, maybe I will be able to get down the track at least part way.

The invite to party at my house after the Nationals in Epping still stands.

Later,
