Just put new BFG 315/70/R17's on the stock rims and they rub if I turn the wheel to stop. Anyone advise to who makes the best leveling kit for our 2500 4x4s?Whats a fair price for the kit and installation?... ... ... ... man, they give the truck some attitude/altitude!

Clayton..... what was it like adding the Edge EZ... ... . offline ?or just on the big end?... ... without towing?... . big difference?Oo.

HUGE difference. . it wakes the truck up!. . Off the line. . on the freeway. . in any situation I can tell a big difference. Especially with throttle response. Highly recommend one.

Where do they rub; on the fender, suspension, steering compontnets... ?

Same question...

If they rub on the suspension at full turn, I'd say don't turn it that far! I don't think leveling blocks will help that. And it shouldn't hurt anything either, other than polishing the paint off the suspension in a spot or two.

They rub on the lower control arms. It really is very minor-- Just a slight turn from full lock and all is OK.

Like Blakers said, adding a leveling kit won't help with the control arm rubbing. The only cure for that is a less backspaced wheel. Which will open up a new can of worms since most aftermarket wheels have a 4. 5" backspacing, the wheel will stick out far enough to rub the rear part of inner fender with 315's, even with a leveling kit.

I just turned a set of H2 wheels on my lathe to open up the center bore. I need to see if I can get a set of tires cheap or if I have to mount my old ones on them.

I know, I know, it's a WOOD lathe. (but it does the trick ;) )

I'm not sure. There are a bunch of codes cast in the back but I'm not sure that load/weight rating is there.

There was another guy who put them on his truck and he chose to take more material off to make the 03 caps fit. I will probably take the material off the caps instead. (not sure if I will use 3rd gen, 2nd gen, or maybe modified Hummer caps  )

Clayton,

It seems that the rubbing seems to happen more with the aluminum alloy wheels. A lot of people say they don't rub on the steel wheels with a leveling kit. I wish i knew who was right. I really like the looks of the 315's but i dont want any rubbing at all. If i knew for sure they would not rub I would already have them. So i have come to 2 conclusions. One is that they really dont rub with the steel rims or Their truck is so bombed or the music is to loud for them to hear it rub!!!!

PS Any one in here know if we have a way to adjust the steering or have some sort of bump stop to limit the amount of wheel turn?

TIA!

I run the H2 wheels and tires with no leveling kit & no rubbing at all. I have heard that the suspension height in the front can vary by about 3/4" from side to side sometimes.

Pic for yah!

Thank you sir. Glad to be here. It's a change from CO4x4.org :D

BTW I have wheeled the truck a bit since installing the tires 4 months ago. It was really fun and still no rubbing with the sway bar disco'd and the front tires at 18psi and rears at 12psi. I just love my truck. My speedo is way f'n off with the new treads though.

Mine is off by about 9. 1% so I just times it by 10% to get a somewhat accurate speed.

Percentages? You must be good with that math stuff. I think mine reads 10mph slow in the top end according to my girlfriend. I was wondering why she was driving so slow -lol I got caught by a state pooper doing 65 in a 45 a few weekends ago up at Keystone Ski Area =( He didn't buy my excuse.
