I have a 2017 3500 single rear wheel and am having trouble finding aftermarket rear shocks. Any one know of anyone listing shocks for this application.
Thanks

I would invest in an airbag system, the factory Airbags are limited. I wish I wouldn't have optioned that on my 2019 3500 SRW. For a couple of hundred dollars I could have gone aftermarket and saved a bunch.

Give it time. Set to ALT and enjoy the ride with same ride height no matter the load.

I'm linking a thread I started when I purchased my new truck. It'll explain some things with my opinion. But the Load Level option is limited in my opinion. Its nice to have a factory system in place, with a compressor and air supply tank and under warranty as well, Good thing for me. But there are only two positions, normal ride height, and load level.

Those two settings is all I ever needed. It's a beautiful system. I'd never buy one without it.

Unless something changes recently, the aftermarket doesn't make the shocks. Not sure if it's just valving or if the lenghts are different or both. There is a thread on this subject that someone installed aftermarket shocks for standard suspension. But no one has measured the compressed and extended lenghts. I'd be concerned on the lenghts. You don't want to damage the air bags if the extended lenght is longer.

I will admit I have never used airbags before, but I know several buddies that have them. In our conversations, they talk about certain pressures the truck rides better with certain loads. The fact that you can chose the comfort of the ride vrs the pressure of the air bags seems better than two modes. Once mine gets repaired, it'll be interesting if my opinion changes.

I have always said, no control over air pressure. It seems that has been fine, but if you wanted to mess with the ride ,its not going to happen. I have changed air pressure on my aftermarket ,and improved the ride towing . Running empty I leave it alone ,and run 5 psi. I run an Airlift remote control system, that automatically keeps the set air pressure .

Hopefully you will get yours straightened out. What is it that has to be repaired on yours ???

The drivers side Airbag won't inflate, is it the bag leaks or the control won't fill it, don't know. It seems to not have any pressure at all, I'll assume its the bag with a large leak. The dealer will get it tomorrow.

Thats the second 19 on that problem on this forum . Wondering in reality how many of these air rides are having issues , this is a small percentage on this forum . Its nice its under warranty.

No problem with the air auto level, air bags,or system controls. I am replacing the OEM Front shocks and would like to upgrade the rear shocks as well. Thanks

I had PacBrake fully in cab adjustable on my 11 HO DRW with 4,500# pin it rode very well with 30# air loaded. My 15 is just as good if not better and it sets nearly level loaded or unloaded making entry and exiting easy.

I couldn't agree More, My 2013 With aftermarket Air is way more trusting, My construction Company pulls some heavy Wagons. One of My subs has 2016 with factory Assist, He switch with Me on My 2013 (He pulls Txi-axle) 30Ft GN and he likes the way the Six point setup handled,You have 4 Spring points and the 2 DDC Axle bags 100% of operation, Weight distribution is critical when pulling HVY and long. I have 12PSI in My bags 100% of the time. I had to add Air only twice in 6.2 Years.

I have the factory Air on all My FCA vehicles Jeep/1500s and Like very Much , but on My big stuff I'm going with the 6102 Spring and Aftermarket Bags
