Full air bag setup with 2.5 g tank and in cab controls was about the same cost as the factory option. I am more than happy with the current setup!!! I run FULL RAWR full time RVing at 9,750#. Truck sets the same unloaded or loaded. Rides GREAT either way.

First pic old RV about 8,500 RAW. All pics ALT ride.

So do you have aftermarket or factory air? Your post is confusing.

My original post I have factory rear air auto leveling system and am wanting to replace to OEM factory rear shocks. No one is making them that I can find. Factory part #

Typically, if there is enough of a population, the aftermarket will respond. They seem to be selling pretty well, so here's hoping.

The 2011 DRW had the 2003+ 6101 primary spring + the additional Helper/load springs, it had to travel 2.5" before the helper springs engaged, The 2013+ SRW 3500 has the 6102 spring W/O the helper/Load spring, its individual leaf Springs are 1.25MM thicker than the 6101 spring leaf primary, So 6102 spring is stronger than the 6101 until the helper/load spring engages. 2.5' is a considerable amount of drop.

6101 spring with Bump stops and Helper/Load spring engaged.

If I could I would order 3500 SRW with 6101 Plus the helpers/Load spring setup, and add bumps stops or Air bags, You can only get the SRW with 6102 Spring and No Helper/load. ugh.....

My point in all of this and Shocks , spec out your truck, many believe that training wheels are required in towing and if you like DRW by all means buy one, With new tire technogly You are able to surpass the vehicles GVW on SRW. I pull weighs in excess of 25K legally all the time and prefer SRW, going over 30K in many States will require DRW.

Two different trucks!

First pic 2011 with BAGS. The truck has almost 5k load on the rear. Looked like that without bags also. Aired just enough for the benefits NOT to raise as it rode on the overloads as it should. Great ride. Also had Bilstien 4600's.

Second pic 2015 OE rear air. Truck has just over 6k load on rear.

I'm looking/waiting for aftermarket shocks too. Can't find them anywhere... mine have 12k on them and handle my 5th wheel fine, not so much with my slide-in truck camper.

Same problem i am having in finding shocks. Weight wise I am fine. After changing front shocks I was amazed how much better my trick drove and the improvement in the ride. Better reat shocks could only help. I can only find OEM rear shocks.

Having towed with a 2500, 3500 SRW, two 3500 DRW’s and a 4500......I’d be hard pressed in believing that four sidewalls (SRW) can offer the same stability as eight sidewalls (DRW) with a 25,000 lb trailer attached.....
