Any of you guys running 37's with a 3", with out fiberglass fenders?

I know they fit with glass fenders. just curious if they will fit without.

Assume stock wheel...

I have a 2nd gen with 37s. 1/2" longer control arms and stock backspacing are key. Kore springs were good for about 2 1/4" lift. I want glass fenders and a wider wheel to fatten it up though.

I have the longer lowers on mine too, and I ran 37's for a while but couldnt handle the gearing while towing...

I have been told yes and no for 3" on 3rd gen with 37's. Any input?

The 37's will fit with a true 3" lift in the front if you're using stock wheels, and don't have fender flares, mud flaps, etc. I think the Carli springs give slightly more lift than Lorenz, and it's so close that it probably matters.

In the rear, it also varies. The Carlie full replacement leafs offset the centering pin just enough to be able to clear 37's when flexed; with the Lorenz, I had to add long travel air bags and traction bars to keep the rear axle centered enough to clear.

With stock wheels, I think you'll be okay. You MAY get minor rubbing on the control arms in front at full lock, and MAY get slight rubbing on the pinch weld seam at the rear of the front fender... each truck seems slightly different.

You can sometimes loosen the front fender bolts, and slide back slightly to gain enough clearance. Or, it doesn't take much cutting/shaping to get the little extra clearance if necessary.

In short, yes it will work with the stock wheels, and right 3" setup, but don't be surprised if very minor massaging is required either, as it's so close that each truck's tolerances make the difference.

My friend runs BFG 37's no probs, he tried to run 13. 5 Toyos and not even close to fitting. stock wheels 05 short bed, 2. 5 spacer, rear lowered 2. 5

WILL IT EVEN ARTICULATE WITH OUT RUBBING, I COULD RUB A 37-13. 5 TOYO WITH STOCK BACKSPACING WITH A SIX INCH SUPERLIFT WHILE IN ROUGH TERRAIN ARTICULATED:cool:

I don't think the superlift is a true 6" after a few months, but the front to rear centering is critical. Carli has it down to a science front and rear.

Yeah, everything clears now, even at full articulation. The centering is critical though like Bob said. With the Lorenz DP rear leafs, I have to put about 1 1/2 turns of preload on the traction bars to get the rear axle centered enough to clear with flexed. I'm running 37x13. 50x17 Toyo M/T's on XD Hoss 17x9 rims with 5. 71" backspacing. The front required pretty major trimming to get things to clear.

 Carli has it all dialed in. It is very impressive the ride you get on the street, all the articulation, and then haul but thruogh the big nasty stuff with

such a heavy truck.

How much do you lose by running the traction bars in terms of comfort and travel ?

How much do you lose by running the traction bars in terms of comfort and travel ?

It's really too early to tell, as I've only had them installed about 2 weeks now, and I haven't been driving the truck much. I installed XLR8Rs LazarII traction bars and the Carli long travel air bags both at the same time.

I've got 3 toolboxes, and carry some tools, ratchet straps, chains, chain binders, fire extinguisher, etc, etc, totalling around 900 lbs extra weight. With the Lorenz DPs, my back end sagged about 1 1/2" lower than the front. With a trailer hooked, I was getting made fun of all the time for driving a 1-ton truck that was squatted with a little load.

I put 40 psi in the Carli's initially, and it brought the back end up probably 3". It's a little much empty, but towing it's great. While the ride stiffened up some, the Carli's offer an outstanding ride, retaining compliance over the bumps, while giving the needed support to the dual purpose leafs.

I haven't had a chance to flex out the truck enough offroad to see if/how much the traction bars/air bags hurt travel, but I'll post pics soon when I do.

I still need to mount the air tank, compressor, in cab control for the carli's, train horns, etc

All my pics articulated are with the long travel bags... ... ... ..... so you won't loose any there

sweet i just installed rock krawler long arms and 8 inch springs, waiting for their adj track bar and bracket though, the ride is sweet, i dont have a front driveline yet to see how well articulation is, tires are 37-13. 50 20 kumho mtkl71 directional mudder on 20x10 chrome wheel, not sure what the offset is but they hang out there, looks like it will clear 40s on a stock offset. .

I sure wish I could drive down there, drop my truck off with them for a day and go hang with Brad for a couple days.

Oh well, maybe someday. I spend all my money now going on camping trips with the family.
