I have done it on my 2nd gen, but it really the same 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation. This headlamp assemblies have plenty of room, as do the large rear taillamps. Just remove each assembly from it's ,mount and find a place that works for the strobe lamp inside the lamp housing. You need to make sure the strobe will clear the headlight lamps. And also make sure the the back of the strobe will clear any sheet metal or structures. I installed one strobe each in the headlight housings, and one strobe each in the marker/turning signal lights on the front. For the rear, I installed one strobe each in the barke light compartment of the taillights.
I went with a 6 channel 90W system, it has about 8-10 different flash patterns, as well as a high and low switch. I do not really have a need for them, just thought it would be cool to have. I guess they may come in handy while assisting stranded Fords along the side of the highway??
Good luck, and just get the polarity's right when you make-up the plugs.
