Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 3k GSK problems

I installed a 3k GSK on a 1997 and now it idles high. It slowly goes to about 1500 RPM. It idled fine before the install. If I back the clips off 2 clicks, it idles better but wants to almost stall when it first comes down to an idle.

Set your idle screw. 10mm wrench.

Make sure you have all of the old govenor springs out I still had some stuff left in there and the rpm rose stupid like. Fished in there with a magnet and found some more stuff. Then things were ok.

You should not need to adjust you idle much after a GSK install. If you have to the springs are not setup the way they should be.
