Yep - been there done that. The trans is actually pretty easy to rebuild just pay attention to how everything is put on the main shaft (order and direction) if you get one of the syncros in backwards like I did on 5th gear it won't want to slip into gear. I recommend spinning the shaft and rowing through the gears while it's on the bench to test it before install - I'm glad I did.
