2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3rd gen box on a 2nd gen?

Anyone know if a 3rd gen steering box would bolt up to a 2nd gen truck?



mines doing this when at full lock!

and I bought a 3rd gen box (along with some other 3rd gen parts) but they are not here as I still need to get them from Ohio to me. Just wondering if anyone knows if it would work?

Not sure about fit but part#s are diffrent. Whould be nice cause from driving a 3rd gen I belive the steering ratio is quicker, but not too quick.
