Competition 3rd gen weight bar

Has anybody seen a 3rd gen with a weight bar for sled pulling yet? I don't really want to put a receiver mount under my bumper like most guys do. I was thinking of removing the tow hooks and building a bar that mounts in the existing holes, that way it could be removed completely. Has anyone tried this or seen it? I'll only be adding about 400lbs so it'll definitely hold it.

i built a bracket that just slides over the tow hooks. put a piece of hard plastic in between so it wont scratch seems to be working great ad i still have my tow hooks

made a plate that bolts where the tow hook was then welded square tubing to it like a reciever hitch that pins on, built the reciever to hold 6, 90lb weights, works well, dont have any pics, took about 1hr to build,

Did you pull at Scheids last year?

I've seen TCluffs setup and it looks good. Plus you could still put a clevis or a tow hook that is designed for a 2" receiver on it so you don't loose your tow hook ability. Heck I'd buy one or two if someone would Fab some up.

I aslo just built a weight bar for my 3rd gen that slides over the stock hock,,,And guess where i got the idea? This post of coarse ,Thanks. .
