3rd gen wheels on a 2nd gen

does anyone know if wheels off of a 3rd gen truck will fit a 2nd gen. I would think that they would since they are bigger. Is the bolt pattern the same.

I have a friend with a 99 who bought my O. E. wheels and they work fine, they rub on the radius arm on the left side but not on the right side (because of the stock spacer. ) The offset is a little more positive than the stock 2nd gen wheels so they sit in slightly more, but they did fit over his rear drums, something the 2nd gen alloy wheels wouldn't do.
