Nikon Monarch series, Leupold, or, if those are more than you want to spend, I'd go with something by Pentax or Bushnell. If you go with something cheaper, it's a risk, in my opinion. I've had several Barska scopes, some good, some... . eh. . not so much... . I'd check out
Scope Products At Sportsman's Guide first. If it's a POS you can send it back. They are awesome to deal with!! I've been doing business with them 20yrs, since I was a teenager!! Great place to get winter clothing, too!!
Another good place to buy stuff is:
Vortex 6-24x50 Crossfire Rifle Scope I've heard good and bad on these scopes. The one I've looked through seemed really clear, but heard some negative about recoil and durability. I've been in their store, and they're super nice and willing to please. My dad buys stuff there pretty regular, too.
Another place would be
OpticsPlanet.com | Low Prices, Free S&H on Binoculars, Sunglasses, Night Vision Goggles, Riflescopes, Flashlights, Rangefinders - Hunting, Outdoor, Science & Military Gear These guys are pretty bad about selling you something that's not in stock. I've bought two Nightforce scopes from them, and had to wait 6-8wks for delivery, but they said they were in stock!! That'll tick you off!! Especially when you need 'em to go to Whittington Center!!!
