4" ADT exhaust

I purchased the mufflerless 14 gauge 4" dia. system from ADT. It comes with a pre-welded rolled and polished SS tip. Here is the page:

I installed the system by myself without a torch. I had to beat on the front hanger because they mouted it 3/4" too far forward. Including removal of the old system, the whole job took about 3 hours. Just used a die grinder with a cutting wheel, my impact and hand tools. I put band clamps at the lower downpipe joint and at the joint before the axle bend, so I can remove it if needed.



Had a slight drone around 2200 RPM. But I am used to it now. I will probably put some dynamat on the back cab wall and floorboard.



Sounds sweet!

Sorry you had a problem, looks like you got a system where the hanger was incorrectly welded onto the down pipe, for that we apologize and we have already made changes to the weld up jig to ensure it can't physically happen to anyone else again. You know how it is, "if you have people involved there's gonna be some problems. " No matter how much you fool proof a system things just get by you sometimes. Anyway we are really sorry you have had a problem and if we can help you in any way let us know what we can do. Enjoy the system and have a SMOK'IN good time.

Thanks for the response and help. I think it is a great system; I installed it by-myself with-out a welder, and it was cheaper than the other 14 gauge systems that didn't come with a tip. Other than that one problem, everything was a piece of cake.

Glad all is OK, all of our system are built for the DIY installer and no welding or cutting is required except for the removal of the factory system by using a sawsall etc. Yes, we include a 5 inch stainless, rolled edge tip with each system, hey what's a new exhaust without one!



You had me worried there for a few days that you were upset with us for our manufacturing error, I am glad it wasn't a big deal and your another satisfied DPPI customer. Call us if you need us.
