Hey Mark just run 4 inch after t case you shouldn't beable to notice any difference or put a body lift on it then you have all kind's of room :)

I'm pretty sure Philip posted pics on here. Shoot, he posted them everyplace else! :-laf

I remember he said " use a band clamp by the T case, a u-bolt clamp won't fit! #@$%!"

:-laf :-laf

Well...

... turbo and manifold install went smooth... Rip's system, not quite so!!!:{ If anyone has pics... in particular the pipe that goes around the tcase, post up), no way in heck that thing will go in there and still be able to hook up the next pipe where it belongs. Spent all afternoon and half the evening trying different things to work, no go !!!#@$%! Guess I'll have to drop it off at the local shop Monday before work and let them straighten this mess out!!!!

Did you call and talk with Rip about it. He is a great guy and always willing to help.

Yep, spoke to him twice and Jerry, the guy that designed the system. Jerry gave me some info that got the pipe "pretty" close to where it had to go, but the one end just would not cooperate. Be calling him first thing Monday, might try tomorrow, Jerry wasn't sure he was going to be in, and see what they will do about it.

I wonder what's up? I wonder if maybe there was some production problems.

Rip may be in tomorrow, it's hard telling.

I got a 4" that didn't fit too good and with the help of the supplier they sent me a few different angles and I got it to fit beautifully. I just cut, tweaked, and welded and it lays in there nicely without touching anything.

There is a local exhaust shop that made a custom system for a local 1st gen 4X4 It fit perfect and was no big deal to make. The guy pounded that out like it was a walk in the park. It was a real nice job. I know, as I build exhaust system for my fleet of school buses and I had to modify the one in question when I modified the system and converted it into two six inch stacks.

There has been much published about fitting four inch to a 4X4, but with the proper pipe and hangers, a little know how, they fit real well.

the real trick is getting a 4 inch to fit without running a body lift ... . on a 1/2 ton frame ..... and trying to keep it out of the frame as much as possible

lets just say i had to modify the floor a bit

I just installed a 3" system from Jannety Racing today. Went on real easy. I didn't realize it wasn't a 4" when I ordered it, but fit is good and sound is good. On a side note, the stock exhaust had some seriors dingsin the tail pip section where it goes over the rear axle. Darned 16 cm housing didn't arrive yet or it would be on too.

Take care and good luck w/ getting the pipe to fit.

Taking it to my local shop Monday and letting him figure it out, or do his own thing, then see what transpires. Two of us wasted better part of a day on it already, no more time.

Got it back today, decided to put a muffler on it ( 4" straight thru, louvered, no packing) and a 5" slash cut tip on it. Sounds great, looks great, and EGT's are down overall about 150-200* across the board! Lil' Super B sounds neat as all heck to the way it whistles !!Oo.

So what did they have to do to make it work? Most shops I know of can't do anything with 4" stuff.

Is this a problem at all on 2WD's? IE: Is the transfer case the only problem area?

It is the clearance issue between the frame rail and the transfer case. The one I installed stacks on was a perfect fit. They must have known what to do.

Had to cut about 2" off between DP and the piece around TCase. Then bend the 2nd half of the second pipe about 35* or so, then stuff went into place.
