It really cracks me up how people have knocked Banks here for so long (not picking you out John!) when it turns out that their mods are the best thing going for our trucks even if they are purchased separately elsewhere for more money. I've watched over and over where I guy adds a plate and his egts shoot up, members recommend a larger turbo, still doesn't work, larger exhaust. They end up with exactly what Banks offers the hard way and most often it costs more. Banks kits will jack up your power without tearing your drivetrain up nor making a smoke cloud. The current rage is a #10 plate with GSK to keep the the EGTs in check. A #10? That's what Banks uses. Say it isn't so.....

And that's the way you want it. You just regulate with your right foot. If you're not towing & you just want to break the tires free, or run away from someone, simply push farther.![]()
I found the additional low end fueling of the 0 plate & the #4 makes for getting the total towing weight up to speed faster.
The downside is not EGT, it's leaving a stoplight quickly & trying to hold traction. Sometimes you don't have time to put it in 4WD, or if you've got 2WD, you have to be careful NOT to do WOT or else wheelspin & the other guy get's away.![]()
