You'll need to find someone who still offers a kit for your transmission that will allow you to maintain the fluid pressure until you come to a stop... . Most A. T. 's allow the fluid pressure to drop as the foot is lifted off the accelator pedal... When the pressure is up, the torque converter stays locked... . and you can downshift the transmission and get good results with an exhaust brake. . This passes the energy through the transmission to the engine... . the low pressure allows for too much slipage in the torque converter... ...
Unless your willing to get this kit... From a sales standpoint you wouldn't be happy with an exhaust brake... . There is just too much slipage...
