Simplest mod I have ever done, less than 30 minutes including cleanup. I just put timbrens on my 2014 2500. looking at the clearance with the truck bed empty there is 1/2" clearance on the rear of the timbren and 1/4" on the front side. It doesn't look like it will hit the plate on the axel square when weight is put on the bed of the truck, should it be that way. One of the timbren brackets was marked left with an arrow pointing and the word front printed with the arrow. I assume that bracket should be installed on the drivers side with the arrow pointing towards the front of the truck. Any input would be helpful.

I had a set on my old 1995 3500 great for heavy loading but unloaded it rode very ruff and railroad tracks where very ruff I think mine where the 9000 lbs ones

I've had a set on my truck for around 5-6 years. Work perfect. The only issue I ran into was the front leveling kit kept the front too high no matter that the Timbrens were properly supporting the added weight. So I talked to Timbren and they sent me another set of springs with different capacity rates. Awesome..... :)

Removed the timbrens today. With almost 0 clearance to the axel it rode so rough that the slightest bump or pebble in the road was so jarring I couldn't stand it. My wife wanted out of the truck before we got to the end of the block. I'm going to call to either get a refund or hopefully something a good bit more tolerable.

Sounds like somethings wrong. First off, they should be about an inch from the axle and they shouldn't cause any jarring. Call Timbren and see what they say because they're very good about customer service.

People in the market just get a 3500! You will avoid the add ons. Also no tire pressure system screaming at you and you can get the AISIN.

Two things I can warn you about on a 4th gen 2500-

1- DO NOT mount the extra spacer for the Timbren block. It'll beat your kidneys out. Only use the spacer if you are hauling a sanding or gravel spreader.

2- Make certain the kit they sent you is not the heavy duty unit or you'll experience what you are seeing now (this happened last time I ordered a Timbren kit.

Poke around in the RV forums and you'll see that adding airbags or Timbrens is common practice to 3500's just as much as it is on 2500 trucks. Just because its a 1 ton doesn't mean the suspension isnt going to need some reinforcement in supporting a 3000+ lb pin weight 5th wheel or a 3500+ lb camper.

Thanks Captain Obvious. A little late now....considering his truck is three years old

Maybe you should READ to WHO I was talking to. Don't see where I was directing my comment to you. But I am guessing you agree.

You're being a bit dramatic....that is all I am saying. A small illuminated light on the dash (no different than T/H and E-brake dash lights), and the EVIC defaulting to the tire pressure screen is hardly "screaming".

If all a person needs is a 2500, then the TPMS is certainly not a reason (by itself) to move up to a 3500. If a person needs a 3500, then they need a 3500, the lack of a TPMS shouldn't influence that decision at all.

I stand behind my Captain Obvious remark that I posted earlier. Nothing like telling a guy with a three year old truck that he should have bought a bigger truck.

Stand by it all you want I said "People in the market just get a 3500!" I did NOT in any way direct my comment to YOU or ANYONE with a 2500.

Sorry to upset you.

I called Timbren today, they are sending me another set that is 3/4" shorter than the what I have. They said if that did not work out for me they would refund my money.
