My 4WD engaging light hasn't worked since i owned the truck, just been too lazy to fix it  , which leads me to my next question. What do i need to check? I pulled the panel off and i see there is a circut board in there. What does it do?(BTW, i replaced the bulb, didnt fix it. )

Oh and another thing, when i have my E-Brake on, all three lights come on, the WATER IN FUEL, BRAKE, AND WAIT TO START. Whats up with that?

have you unpluged the harness going to the black box behind the glove box? the contacts can get corroded. mine is not working either. tested it during the sleeting rain last week here in Austin. the engage did not light up.

For what it's worth, I had so much trouble with my light that I finally do without. It seems I could not keep the switch that mounts to transfer case in a working mode, It woulld short out or open up. I replaced it 6 times before I quit. Easy to check if it is sw or not. The wiring plug to switch on tcase is only 2 pin. With key on, short 2 pins together(same as sw shorts thru), if light comes on, replace sw on tcase, if not you have other problems. Could be just bulb? or next return wire to gnd.

reddog 91 w250 still going tuff

2001 w250 lifted,big tires, texas bumper,cap w/rack. The mean machine

The switch is located on top of the t-case. Check to see that its plugged in. If yes, unplug, with a jumper wire, jump the 2 pin plug. It should light up the indicator lamp on the dash. For some reason on mine, the switch was broken in half inside the top of the t-case. Had to use an extractor to remove the switch, $15 or so for a new switch, I was in business.

The other issue with lights-- don't use the ebrake :p .
