I had one of those Powertrax units in my old Dakota that had a 9. 25 rear. Loved it, took me in some pretty amazing places! The speed in that vid doesn't make a difference, it's a locker, both wheels are locked, speed doesn't matter. I was STOPPED with one rear wheel a foot or so off the ground, truck teetering, had to reverse. ONLY 1 rear tire was on the ground. That tire allowed me to move out. The only beef I had with that unit, it made the rear feel a bit "loose", kinda wish washy feel, and the occasional "pop" when going around corners real slow. Put alot of miles on that thing, and for the most part, I loved it! It allowed me to get up this thing#ad
and one of me on a trail run made for Jeeps#ad
The only truck that has any type of posi in the front is the Power Wagon, period. Unless you count the H1.

Coolslice, man, I mean how could you? A Honda is bad enough, but with Chevy guys watching??? You should never, ever admit to anyone that it happened! LOL.
IIRC at one time Ford offered a limited slip option for the front diff.

Coolslice said:I would not admit it if it wern't for the fact that there were several guys standing around snapping pictures. :-laf The fact that the pics have not turned up on the net is pretty amazing. To put an end to the laughter, I offered to use that same logging chain and hook up to any Chevy there on dry ground. . Nobody wanted to take me up on it???![]()
