I just got a new 2003. 5 Hemi 4x4 4 door truck. I love it and it will haul but. This thing will spin the tires so easy you have to be carful. Any one else have one? and "Yeah, its Got A Hemi" I love that saying.
The info I have is that the car will have a 6. 0 or 6. 1 litre version of the Hemi making about 400 horses. The cars they have running around Detroit (ok Auburn Hills) are de-tuned to 425 horsepower and will be turned down a little more to 400 when they hit the showrooms. If they turned 'em down to 425 we should be able to turn them back up!
A friend recently sold his F-350 crew cab diesel and after driving the new 6. 0... and then the Dodge HO, and then the HEMI bought a Timberline Green 2500 QC LB 4X2 Laramie with a HEMI and 5spd auto. You're right... it hauls ax and will rip the tires loose pretty easily. I understand the big meats on the 1500s hold the power pretty good. He is VERY happy with his new truck with 3,000+ miles on it so far with no fuel in the crankcase, no leaking bell housing, or romp rattle or rough idle. And he like to say "yeah it's got a HEMI"!
