Just got off the phone with them, their downpipe will not bolt up to a HX40, only setup for the stock turbo. However, anyone interested can order the system without the downpipe for $70 less. Thought everyone might like to know.

I've got the 5 inch but unfortunetly I don't have any pics. I had a local exhaust shop install mine and it fits just fine. Although I wouldn't recommend running it straight piped liked mine. It vibrates the seats when you crowd it. The spare can still be dropped and it looks like the auto transmission can be dropped without unhooking anything. I've already had several drive-bys pointing and mouthing the words ( That is F$#@& huge ) :--)

do you get any drone from that setup?? How loud is loud?

The only drone over my stock straight piped sytem is if I'm towing heavy or really pushing the truck hard. As far as loud is concerned you can still listen to the radio and carry on a conversation but if you load the truck down with a trailer it resembles a gravel truck with straight pipes pulling a grade. Highway speeds running empty are not a problem for drone or noise. My wife likes it so what more could I say. LOL

M090595 was the one I received in January. 26. 5 inches long.

Changed it to a M090535, 51 inches long, have to change the front mounting. Flows 900 cfm more and is a couple db quieter.

Thanks for the photos ! That does help. I thought the 2003 5" had a two piece tailpipe that exited in a diagonal fashion, similar to stock Ram. Looks like you custom crafted the 90degree exit similar to the 2 generation trucks. I appreciate the help and good luck with you new CTD and 5". Larry

It is not on the website or the catalog. I saw it when I was there at the truckstop. I forgot to write down the P/N. It's about 16-18" long and approx. 8" diameter, straight-thru design. Both ends expanded and slotted. Just under $50 if I remember right.

I've got a muffler bought that has the same dimensions as that resonator. I don't want to quieten it to much just knock the edge off.

Just didn't like the baffle idea. When I found out the 4in straight flow had less restriction I really didn't like the baffle. Couldn't fit the torch in to cut it out so I found a 5in that would flow better than a straight 4in.

WOW! That was fast, the exhaust came today. First impressions are all Well made. Very nice bends and nice looking welds on downpipe.

I just got mine too. I don't like the baffle much either. Has anyone knocked the baffle out? If so how loud is it? If it's real loud I might consider a resonator. Or do think ordering the other muffler? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, I just ordered my 5 inch system without a muffler and went to a local Kenworth dealer to get my Donaldson M090535. If for nothing else, I can say it was worth it to see the look on my wifes face when I took that thing out of the box. On end it stands taller than her car and is open all the way through. I figured it would be worth it to drop the price of the system by ordering it without the muffler and then get what I really wanted. By the way, thanks to wsteffes for turning me on to the Donaldson. Looking forward to hearing how it sounds and maybe even lower my EGTs a bit. One other thing. If you do go with the big Donaldson, I found it WAY cheaper at the Kenworth place than anywhere on line.

DBCopper Thanks I work for a paving contractor and we have an account with Kenworth so I might get even cheaper. I wish I would have ordered it without the muffler and bought the bigger flow through witch i'm going to do anyway. One more thing does the muffler clear the cross member or do you have to dent it like the factory muffler?
