I am in the process of upgrading the steering linkage on my 07 and found two different part numbers provided for the kit - 52122362AH vs 52122362AJ. I know that Dodge supersedes numbers where AA becomes AB then AC, etc. , but I find the AH listed as a replacement for models thru 2011 and the AJ suffix shown for 2012 and later. The price of the AJ suffix is lower.
Does anyone know what the real difference is? I'm well aware of part numbers being changed due to design and supplier changes. With all of the focus on cost reduction nowadays, I'm just a bit sensitive, maybe hypersensitive to the impact on quality. Yes - we may not always have a choice, but would really like to know what the difference is, and how price can go down if all else is equal. I seem to recall reading where the AH kit was made in Mexico. Please don't tell me the AJ kit comes from China now. Most of the parts departments I talk to don't have the box nearby, but maybe someone who has installs these on a frequent basis might know the difference or recall if the box indicates anything.
Thanks in advance.
