I won't be buying one even if it is better than the TST(which I have had for about a year now) They totally screwed this one up!

Two more weeks, or so.

I got an email from the rep that said the Beta versions have just been sent out and they may be ready in two weeks or so.

I received my Beta 555 Juice with Attitude yesterday. I installed it today. Driven about 20 miles with no errors and glitches. It runs and operated great! :D

If there are not major problems, I would guess 2 to 4 weeks and it will be available to the public.

You said this 5-26-2005 and you just received a beta

Well, I guess it could have been another 3 years, considering that, I would consider 29 days soon. :-laf

I must say something here. I understand that there is a lot of people that are disappointed and/or fed-up with Edge on the 555 Juice. Believe me, Tom Carlin, President of Edge knows that they blew it, but still has the desire to produce a Juice for the 555. Will they make any money on them this late in the game? Will it be enough to cover R&D? Who knows? Would the have made more money if they had gotten the Juice out in 2003 or 2004? Most definitely. Obviously some poor choices by Edge management concerning the 555 Juice were made in our eyes.

Edge has never at any time said they want to have the highest HP box, that I know of. To me, their goal has always been to have one of the most adjustable, reliable, smoothest performing box and the best customer service. For many, they have accomplished this. Me being one of them. I have owned every one of their 2nd Gen boxes that preformed great and have excellent service.

Many are comparing the Juice to the TST. The TST has always been a very radical box, and has many issues and still has. I don't believe that Edge built the Juice to see who is top HP dog.

I think Edge's goal is as I stated above and to also give us more usable features with the Attitude, like incorporating EGT's, Boost, Load, Torque converter lockup, transmission Slippage, Engine Temps, RPM's, Backdown, MPH, Barometer Pressure, Intake temperature, & Throttle Position. Will these be of value to everyone, probably not, but some will use them. The Attitude also has defueling for high EGT's, boost and transmission slippage according to the settings you want, so Edge has also built some safety features into it. It also keeps records of Maximum EGT's, Transmission slippage, RPM's, Engine Temps, and MPH. It also has a performance program where it will time your 0-60 MPH times and 1/4 mile times.

Edge designed the standard 555 Juice with Attitude for the common, everyday Joe with a maximum of 100 HP. I will verify that soon. I'm sure they were thinking about turbo's , transmission and clutches, and not putting their customers in a risky position of blowing up one of the above and having to purchase more upgrades to run the Juice. And then have an unhappy customer.

Then for us radical's who know the risk and have or are willing to make the performance enhancements to handle more HP, the HOT Juice will be available later. I think Edge is pretty smart with this, rather than taking TST position when the first PM came out and having numerous turbo, transmission and clutch failures.

Will Edge's Juice be totally free of problems? Probably not at first and then I'm sure you will still see some issues here and there, just like any electrical product. Will Edge stand behind them, you bet they will, just like always!

Most of us understand why some are discussed with Edge and the 555 Juice, they have voiced their opinions many times, which is their right, however other are looking for infor on this product, and being this tread is titled "555 Juice", maybe more Beta Testers could give their results with the 555 Juice for those interested.

I also want to state for the record, I am not an employee of Edge Products and have absolutely no financial or other ties to Edge Products, I was just chosen to be a Beta Tester by them.

I appologize for this being so long and I hope I haven't affended anyone. If so, flame away. :)

This is all fine and dandy, but I've had my 555 for two and a half years now. I bought my EZ in the early spring of '03, never had a problem. I was looking for the same reliability, a little timing/duration, but got next month ... ... ... . next month ... ..... next month instead! Meanwhile, the 600's got their Juice!!

In fact, I bought my EZ so early, it had 6 positions and cost 5 bills ... ... ... ... ... where's my juice? Oh yeah, it's in beta!!!!!

I did very little homework on diesel performance with my '99. I was still racing sprinters on dirt and only needed to get to the track. I towed with gassers before that. Once I retired from racing, Edge seemed like the reliable, go to people for diesel performance (or so it seemed) ... ... ..... they sure left me feeling let down

I remember telling a local aquaintance over a year and a half ago, I'd sell him my EZ when the Juice was ready, LOL. I put it on his SO dually for 20 minutes, he loved it. He also has the Banks 6 Gun and Speedloader now :-laf

JHardwick,

We all know the failure of Edge on the 555 Juice, you have move on and purchased another product, why do we have to continue to re-hash this failure? Can we let it be and get information from other 555 Juice Beta Testers? Being it is getting closer, some are still interested in the 555 Juice.

Mine works very well. Power delivery is very smooth, and the twins are liking it too. I also have the DD2's in there, but no pressure right now. I'm liking it.

I'm with Bob on this one. I've heard nothing but good things about Edge and want a reliable, smooth upgrade. I've read numerous posts on all the other boxes and have ultimately made the decision to wait. When the Juice comes out I'll be in line for one.

Power is nice and smooth. I used the performance mode and did a 1/4 mile run. Keep in mind that Ghost Rider weighs 8860#'s with me in it, and I did have a few extra in the bed of it. Anyway, according to the Edge performance setting I did 15. 6 at 89 MPH. This was on 5x5.

Well i've been waitin since early 04 and still am, but i'm still gonna buy on for the attitude, unless Quad gets there guage out sooner , just dont want those big hangin piller gauges, or the dash pod either. With all the time it has taken i'm thinkin its gonna be pretty good . we'll see. all the boxes have problems and likley always will. dont need it real soon anyhow, still only got 16000 mi on my 04 lol.
