It's also possible our trucks have a spec built unit that goes beyond the literature for a normal NV5600. The company I work for buys items that seem like off the shelf parts but they are in fact screened for specific values or parameters.

Another interesting tidbit re: the chart mentioned above look to the far right, it indicates that we can hook up a PTO unit to our transmission. Which would be nice for those who want a dump bed, compressor or maybe even a generator.
 
i have been looking at a pto driven generator for my house. how would i hook that up to my truck. if it is possible i will have one. add this with 70gal aux. tank and will be good the next time a hurricane comes through ... ... anyone? if no one knows i will call NV.







how cool would that be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am sure these trucks could drive a huge generator to run the whole house:rolleyes:

Where are you going to mount the shaft driven alternator:confused:

How are you going to control frequency ( hz ) :confused:
