@ 102,000 mi, my 5th gear finally slipped off, leaving me to hobble 120 miles home in 4th gear. Since the transmission will be out, I'm going to replace the stock clutch too (going with DB Con O as I only have DDIIs and an EZ and never slipped the stock clutch. There was a post on here a long time that included pictures of someone replacing their clutch. I couldn't find it through any searches so does anyone have it bookmarked?

thanks! I'm open to other clutch recommendations if anyone has them.

What up Mark?

I'm going to be doing an OFE 13" next month, but for the investment the 250 install fee is minimial in my book. Let me know if I can help you! Sorry to hear about the 5th Gear.

sorry mark - was out of town for a while - what's up with the clutch stuff? Diesel Perf in Odgen UT will probably be where I go for my 13" OFE.

Drop me a line or call sometime,

J

azcummins,

Are you going to consider the fully splined mainshaft while the transmission's off of the truck? I know it's extra dinero, but may be a good time to do it. Just curious.

I had one put in when my input shaft went bad under warranty.

John-

i was till the local transmission shop quoted me $500 for the labor alone. They also quoted me $30 to take out the T-Case, put on the updated nut and then put it all together... doesn't make any sense to me.

I'd like to do it right, but $30 is a lot easier on the wallet right now.
