Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 5w40 and warm climites

i switched to 5w40 synthetic for the Michigan's winter, but plan a trip to Florida in Feb. can i keep this weight oil in the engine for the long trip and warmer climate or switch to 15w40

I tow my boat through the Mohave Desert frequently all summer. Last two times the temps were 115! Oil analysis showed all O. K. at 7500 miles on oil. Delo 400 5W40 w\LF3894. I run this oil year round in southern California.

South Florida in Feb- Day avg. 76 night avg. 59. Damn I better make sure I got that block heater plugged in.

The 5w40 will be perfectly fine to run year round in any of the lower 48.
