Poll: Navistar instead of Powerstroke

Neither, I just want some good laughs. On The Diesel Stop there was a poll about buying a new Ford with the ISBe, 64% opted for the SD with the ISBe, then the poll was locked.

Chill out newbie, I am not a troller, just want some funny responses.

Sorry, Ive been arguing with my uncle too much lately... its become not so funny.

I guess it hurts dropping $40k on an international because you liked the blue oval on the hood.

Been smoking somethin other than diesel fumes? I'd wouldn't mind a Ford with a Cummins, though.

Still prefer my Dodge. I'm keeping it as long as I can. :D All smiles here even after a little over 2yrs. :) Can't say that with either of the Fords I have owned.

I like mine just the way it is. Best truck + best engine + best transmission.

Me to. Best of everything for me... . This is very telling though. Their poll goes to 64% of Ford owners want the Cummins and the mods over there lock the thread and we can't come up with one person for the 6. 0l/Duramax... Hmmmm

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!

Just turned 10,000 miles...

I came from Toyota/Nissan and I am pleased with this truck. About the only thing I would chage is the dash. I like the 2nd Gen dash better. I am not a Ford guy, the Chevy is too low, and their prices are too high. I see a lot of owners of the other trucks checking mine out:D

Ok, gotta admit, I did this poll one, for fun, two, so all TheDieselStop and GM-Diesel guys can read it.

I bet the one vote for the 6. 0 and the one vote for the Dmax came from the other boards.

On TDS, they locked the thread cause of members doing personal attacks, so they say, NO, they just don't want that 64% Cummins/Ford vote to go any higher.

I think most people only bought a dodge because it has a cummins in it. I would say +90% would rather see the cummins in one of the two other makes, at least i would. I dont drive a dodge i drive a CUMMINS. ;) Matt

I'd buy a HEMI Ram before I'd buy a V-8 diesel.

I wouldn't buy a Ford or Chevy, even with a CTD. I like having 4 real doors, but don't want a truck that spans two time zones. I have been unable to find one fault with my new ride, other than that I wish it wasn't do tall.

Partly true. OTOH, My truck is as solid as a rock. Not a squeek, rattle, OK a little rattle from the engine bay, Nothing. Hauls our 3500# camper like nothing. No airbags nadda. Has Dumb injectors that are CHEAP and a smart pump that isn't to expensive. Goes 3500 miles between oil changes and doesn't use a drop and looks perfectly clean. Get 17-19MPG. Starts unaided down to at least 23 degrees, yes I tested it intentionally because I want to know the limits of this beast. I can't speak for other years, but in 2001 Chevy or Ferd has nothing on our Rams and when you add the engine in it's a slam dunk... . Bet it's still true in 2004.

I'd take a new 04 LLY code Duramax no problem. Seriously. I've seen them and drove them. Much improvement has been made to them and they are much more proven now. Now... I'm not rushing out to get one cause I love the Cummins ISB... but the Duramax would get serious consideration here.

I actually like the Duramax engine itself (no flaming please) and I like the interior comforts. The GM trucks ride pretty good too. BUT after seeing them in action i know that the front suspension is absolute garbage, I've never seen a frontend move around and break like that. And whats up with their styling department? Did they all switch from wacky weed to acid or what? UGH!

I can get my 95 CTD started in single digit temps, with -20+ wind chills unaided!!! She will sit sometimes up to 9+hours at work, no ablity to plug her in, just cycle the girds twice and start her up, warm up for about 5 min then just take off easily. Try that with the GM or F diesels. My 6. 2 blazer refused to start below 15' without block heaters and my Ford PSD was about the same, and it had all new glow plugs and a new contoler. The Grid heaters is the way to go CUMMINS RULES!!!! And for all the other little things dodge does wrong, weak front end parts, weak auto trans in my year, ect All brand have thier bad issues and dodge is no different. But at least we can upgrade ours to compensate for the weakness. Tell that to a 6. 0PSD owner with a crankcase full of #2. Cheers MIke

starting

My '03 will start @-9(-29 w/ windchill) after sitting for 12+ hrs w/o being plugged in! can push a 10' wide snowplow at idle w/o dieing while on 35" tall tires!
