Case,

I recognize that you are doing this because you have an absolute need to do it ... . a need to operate a fleet of ranch trucks that won't set your pasture land on fire and burn off the TX Panhandle but I'd still like to say thank you for doing the research and reporting to the rest of us.

Has anyone disclosed to you what the "complete 5. 9 engine compartment package" consists of? Is the 5. 9 ECM compatible without modification to simply bolt on to the side of the engine block of a 6. 7 and run? I guess what I'm wondering is how many factory 5. 9 engine parts would be required to run a 6. 7 as a bored and stroked 5. 9 w/o emission equipment?

As much as I would love to keep my 6. 7 engine and run 5. 9 components, the reality for me anyway is, in 2010 Calif is going to start testing diesels for emissions. CARB or Calif Air Resources Board already is dictating to us that we will maintain our emission control stuff, or they will not allow the DMV to re register our trucks the following year. For example. The G-30 recall. I received a notice that this was a mandatory recall and that if i did not have it done I could not renew my tags next year. I already know I am going to have to put all my stuff back for testing in 2010 and every 2 years after that, but the idea of changing my ECM and all the wiring harnesses, reinstalling my turbo and on and on, is just not an option. I would rather trade it in on a 5. 9. Sooo for now, my best bet is to do the delete kit and juice with attitude. this solves my problem and will solve yours too if only temporarily.
