What a great bunch of guys on the TDR. Have enjoyed the info for years. My 03 six speed -stock- has been flawless, a really fine truck. Just wish I had never seen the 07. 5--got the new truck bug BAD. As usual, I read then read some more etc to confirm my want of a new truck. The posts on the 6. 7 kinda give me the jitters. 20 regenerations in 2k miles, less than stellar mpg, some rep said to run it hotter to reduce regenerations, new emission stuff etc, you've seen the posts. Sure would like to hear more about mpg and emission control problems. I know its all a flip of the coin, buying a new truck and all, just want to feel good about the deal
FYI-brought my quote from Adam at Dishman to a local dealer in SE Texas-what the heck, I was curious as to how close he could come to Adam's figures. The owner didn't blink an eye and said he could do the same deal. Printed out the same exact form I had in my hand and gave it to me. He even ordered the truck as we spoke and said its mine when it comes in (5-6 weeks) or he will sell it--my choice. I was a little freaked at how easy it was to deal with this guy. My 03 is one phone call away from sold--now its cold feet time-this is why you guys get this long winded post. Thanks guys
