Only having this issue on colder days, though I do not believe It is the fuel gelling up. Truck will develop a lope upon starting in the morning and I can see the fuel rail pressure drop to roughly 3.6 kPSI when the desired pressure calls for 4.6kPSI. Usually stops lopping after a couple minutes. However, today the truck started to lope when at a red light/foot on the brake while in gear. The truck was fully warmed up by this point. Like I said, I don't think its gelled fuel. Tuning issue, failing lift pump, rail pressure sensor maybe? Deleted 2017 2500

Edit: forgot to mention, I've already changed both fuel filters thinking that would help and have been running injector cleaner.

Forgot to mention, changed both fuel filters when this originally started happening about 2 months ago. Didn't seem to help at all

My truck has been doing this for a while. I did a new FCA which made it worse. New fuel rail pressure sensor helped. Got an email from CityDiesel about a clearance issue with the first Gen turbo actuator gear box. Swapped it out. Most days it good. But when it goes into Re Gen. Then the lope is back and at times bad. I give up. When it finally dies what ever is causing the lope will rear its ugly head.... Or not...

At one point my truck would lope so bad you’d have to stand on the brake to keep it from creeping forward at a light or stop sign

I'm just spit-balling here, but....

Have you checked to make sure your air intake passages are all clear? I hear there have been instances of some collapsing (or something) in intake passages.

I have not, I’ll be sure to check though. Thank you

Pretty common with deleted trucks in cold weather on start up. You are not getting the warmer air from the EGR that you would stock. Is your grid heater still installed? Doesn't explain the stop light incident though.

.

I have a 2013 2500 with approx 140,000 miles that I picked up a year ago. I have noticed that in the summer, when it is warm out, the lope at start up is the most noticeable. When it is cooler out, or a leave it outside overnite, it is not noticeable at all. I wonder if it isn't tied to the intake or grid heater??? Jim.

Update, i changed my batteries since they were on their way out and reloaded the tunes. The lope hasn’t returned since. Not sure if I’m just now noticing It because of the lope or what, but my actual injection pressure is always a little lower than the desired injection pressure.

Yes, my intake tube had failed. It’s been removed. Why they used a cardboard dryer tube inside the fender.......

Last year a RAM tech showed me the flap in the passengers side wheel well liner that you can open and reach in and feel the intake tube extension. It is towards the front and your reach in towards the back of the truck.
