I’ve recently added some shelving in my garage and with the current time delays in sourcing even some of the simplest maintenance items, I’ve decided to keep on hand three DBL7349 oil filters, three complete sets of 2013 through 2018 style Cummins, MoPar, or Parker-RACOR fuel filters, three gallons of Delo 400 XSP 5W40 synthetic, twelve quarts of Mobil 3309, two quarts of Dexron VI for the transfer case, an AISIN AS69RC transmission filter, a Fleetguard CCV filter, and at least one MoPar air filter. I buy gear oil in five gallon pails in GL5 and 75W90 weight.
Just this week, I received my trusty Amazon order, and noticed something different regarding the air filter. It’s been replaced with a brand new design, and the part number has changed from 53034051AB to 68517554AA.
Since pictures speak volumes, I’ve included a few. I’m kinda undecided as to whether I like this new design over the previous design. Doesn’t seem as robust IMO.
